Individual Residential Building

The 6-story residential building is located in Kobuleti. The idea of sustainable architecture, ecological concerns, and the clearly defined role of architecture led us to a concept in which people would be in constant contact with greenery, would come to love the routine of its care, and ideologically draw closer to nature. The building has a dual appearance: the strict geometry of concrete swiftly transforms into a composition of light canopies attached to a metal frame. By preserving three evergreen trees on the site, we arrived at the building’s main 5-meter cantilever, which brings residents into a constant emotional context. The dark burgundy canopies, serving as both technical and conceptual elements, provide protection from heavy rainfall and create a rocking-like, ever-changing movement on the facade. The texture of concrete, the metal framework, the canopies attached to it, and the flower boxes installed instead of railings for each apartment make the living space more humane and maintain a constant dialogue with the environment.
